Jules – Anytime portraits

March 24, 2009

At the weekend I had a couple of friends to stay for a girlie catch up. We all worked together years ago,  more years ago than I think any of us would like to count!

I can’t resist having my camera out, as you all know by now, and Jules has been a willing model on more than one occasion. In fact when I got my first DSLR a few years ago, Jules was dragged out so I could play!  Thank you Jules, you are a little star in front of my camera always!

What you need to know about Jules is that she is a petite bundle of mischief and those who know her can always tell by her eyes when she’s about to be mischievous!

My favourite photo from the weekend sums her up to a ‘T’. It’s all in those eyes of hers!

Jules this one makes me smile everytime I see it! THANK YOU!!

Vicki, Paul and Alfie – relaxed portraits

March 16, 2009

On Saturday I spent a glorious sunny spring morning with Vicki, Paul and Alfie at Church Farm in Norfolk. We were joined by their friends, Simone, Ebony and Esmai. Church farm is a great place at anytime of year, but right now they have lots of baby farm animals including; lambs and calves, oh and mustn’t forget to mention the most enormous rabbits I have EVER seen!  Alfie and I reckon one of them is as big as he is!!

It’s also packed with lots of fun things for the kids to do, including tractors, trampolines and their new indoor play area, with climbing walls and slides galore, every child’s heaven.

Alfie and Ebony had a field day flitting from one exciting play area to another and it was hard work keeping up with them.

Here are some of my favourites from the day:

Anthea – Anytime Portraits

March 11, 2009

Despite the exceptional windy weather conditions, I had lots of fun on Saturday shooting some portraits of Anthea in Saffron Walden, we tried lots of new things and had great fun in the park!

Thank you Anthea for playing along with some of my hair brained ideas it was a blast!

This is my favourite from the session:

Sally, Jon and Phoebe

March 10, 2009

sally-and-jon-103On Sunday I spent the morning with Sally, Jon and Phoebe.  It was a fantastically sunny morning, although very windy, a trip to the park made the most of the weather before it started to pour down!!

Phoebe’s favourite thing is the slide, and try as you might to get her away from it she heads straight back there as soon as she can!

Now yet again on my blog I am going to feature some cool shoes! Why do kids have such fantastic shoes? These ones are the most gorgeous pink boots and I want want want some! After my recent crippling by big girls shoes, these are definitely right up my street!

Needless to say all that excitement and fresh air wore Phoebe out and so it was back home for an amazing stew for lunch, thank you Sally!

I am really excited to be photographing Sally and Jon’s big day in April at The Fennes  in Essex.

In the meantime here are some of my favourites from today:

Corporate Portraits – Alice

March 9, 2009

I love it when companies have fun with their corporate portraits, throwing away the traditional against the office wall, sat at the desk pretending to work type photos and letting their true personalities shine through.

These relaxed and fun portraits are so much more appealing for customers and suppliers and they enable people to connect with the real person and the business.

So as you can imagine I am really excited to be working with Engauge at the moment on building a portfolio of fun portraits  that reflect not only the personalities of the individuals but also the organisation, as a fresh, fun and exciting company to work with.

On Friday Alice and I went out and about near the office, in the fantastic spring sunshine.

Alice is not keen on having her photo taken,  but this didn’t prevent us from getting great shots, and this was one occassion where the giggles really were a bonus!

Here are some of my favourites:

Esmee-Rose Christening

March 3, 2009

Sunday was a fantastic spring day where the sun made a rare (well for this year anyway) appearance!

Family and Friends gathered in Frome at Christchurch for Esmee’s christening.  Esmee was soooo very very good and didn’t bat an eyelid when the Vicar poured water all over her head, and then right after he did, the sun broke through again and shined right on her, and her alone! Unfortunately the Vicar wouldn’t let us take pitcures during the service as this would have been a priceless shot!

Needless to say we were able to get lots after the event here are a few of my favourites:esmee-christening-1mar-32
